Anyone knows what the memory requirements are? See below error. I have 512M for swap now by default.

First let me say how great this tutorial is that you created.

I’m working thru a few issues with the install on my laptop. I’m using OEL 5.4 for this. Below is the errors that I’m currently trying to resolve. Any thoughts on what is going on?

Checking node connectivity…

Node connectivity check passed for subnet “192.168.1.0″ with node(s) rac2,rac1.
Node connectivity check passed for subnet “192.168.0.0″ with node(s) rac2,rac1.

Suitable interfaces for the private interconnect on subnet “192.168.1.0″:
rac2 eth0:192.168.1.102
rac1 eth0:192.168.1.101

Suitable interfaces for the private interconnect on subnet “192.168.0.0″:
rac2 eth1:192.168.0.102
rac1 eth1:192.168.0.101

ERROR:
Could not find a suitable set of interfaces for VIPs.

I’m getting this on runcluvfy.

Atul, how the disks will be shared across, Also i would like to check if it was a shared location by changing permissions on node1 and check if it was reflected in node2.

please help me understand.

hi, want to add few more for easy trouble shooting, output of dd command, i have configured raw 1 for ocr and raw2 for voting disk

oot@rac1 rpm]# dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/raw/raw10 bs=512 count=20
20+0 records in
20+0 records out
10240 bytes (10 kB) copied, 0.00226543 seconds, 4.5 MB/s
[root@rac1 rpm]# raw -qa
/dev/raw/raw1: bound to major 8, minor 16
/dev/raw/raw2: bound to major 8, minor 32

hi, when i run the root.sh on both the nodes rac1,rac2, it failed with error “ocr is inaccessible”. Please help. I followed the steps as it is.

Am installing oracle rac on vmware but when i issue its raise error
rac1-> ./runcluvfy.sh comp nodecon -n rac1,rac2 -verbose

I have downloaded the software on C:\ drive. How do i move software into vmware or how to configure internet on the vmware server to download the software into vmware itself. Please help.

hi im working on RAC 10g release 2
and whene i install clusterware ,it cannot find defferent nodes
i good configure ssh i can connect from defferents nodes
i can ping betwen nodes using my /etc/hosts
for public and private addresses
i dont know why that dont work
plzzz if someone know solution dont hesitate to reply me
