Translated Patch (Help me please)

I have EBS 12.0.6 and there are 2 languages in my system, American English and Simplify Chinese. I was active a new NLS language, Latin American Spanish from Oracle Applications Manager –> License Manager. Then create a manifest, “adgennls.txt”, after that submitted the file to http://updates.oracle.com/TransSync.

Several hours later, two translated patches were available. One was Latin American Spanish and another was Simplify Chinese.

Should I have to install these two patches? And are there any Note ID mentions about this?

Thanks in advanced,
Keng

Hi Atul ,

I have gone through the above upgrade steps.

i have one question on “step-5)If you are on 11i, first upgrade system to 12.0.4 and then apply 12.0.6”.

I have R12(version=12.0.0) s/w , can i upgrade directly from 11i to 12.0.6 via R12(12.0.0) ? after installing R12 file system.

Please provide some insite on SOA which comes with Fusion Middleware as part of R12.

Thanks,
Mohan

Yes you can upgrade from 11i to 12.0.0 and then from 12.0.0 to 12.0.6

Please provide some insite on SOA which comes with Fusion Middleware as part of R12.
There is no soa suite with R12 its just 10g R3 (no soa part) you can configure R12 with SOA suite .

To know more about soa check

Thanks Atul for your quick response.

Can we integrate SOA with R12 instance on same R12 application home and database ?
(or)
Do i have to use seperate application home and repository for SOA to integrate with R12.

Please share high level steps of how to integrate SOA with R12 if you have.

Thanks,
Mohan

Mohan,
You can install SOA Suite on same physical machine as R12 but SOA suite should be in its own ORACLE_HOME (Different for R12 Middle Tier Oracle Home) .

For SOA suite repository it is recommended to put it in different database (Do NOT share R12 & SOA database)

There are multiple ways to integrate SOA with R12 and its down to functional or developer level (using BPEL, ESB)
