Step by Step Guide for Oracle E-Business Suite R12 installation

John Piwowar recently covered EBS R12 Vision installation steps on Linux at oraclenerd

This is four part series -Part 1 here  covers introduction, recommendation and software location, Part 2 here covers installation (bonus troubleshooting steps)
Part 3 here  covers Start-up and Shutdown and finally Part 4 here covers accessing oracle apps (self service and forms).

Interesting part is companion posts at John’s blog  here , here , here and here (must read if you are new to apps).

Thanks for blogging on this. I started installing two weeks ago but I ran into some snags. Now I have a guide to go by just in time for me to start from scratch

I am installing Oracle EBS 12.2.0.The Pre installation checks went fine. When I click “Yes” on the Message Do you want to begin the Installation now, the Progress bar window opens. Later the Oracle Universal Installer prompt is open which closes after showing the message that the database installation was successfull. But the Installation Progress Bar remains as it is. Still in 0%.
It stays like that for 8 – 9 hrs and nothing happens. Finally I had to close

Can Some one Help !!!!
