I have seen the error shown below while accessing the OAM Identity System Console (the complete OAM system was working fine until then).
The following messages were produced by the product. Please contact your webmaster to fix the problem.
Unable to find configuration entry in directory server at configuration base=’o=oblix,dc=oracle,dc=com’
OAM is using OID as user store, policy store and config store. When I saw the status of OID and OAM servers, they are up and running fine. However, when I checked the status of Database services, they are down due to which OID is not working properly and thus OAM Identity Server will not be able to communicate to OID properly.
Once the database services are started, everything has started like a charm!

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackThe solution in this post is so vague that i could not understand what exactly is the solution to this problem. Can you please explain what directory services you mentioned there. And what connectivity issue is it. Is it backend database or OID itself.
Your help is much appreciated.
Arock,
We are using backend as OID 10g. OID 10g is using Oracle Database for storing metadata as obvious. It happens sometimes that OID is up and running and Database might be brought down. In that case, OID may not show the status as DOWN immediately and if we use OID to configure identity console, then we will result with such error that it cannot find the o=oblix DN in OID.
