[Preliminary Note: Please do not try it on PRODUCTION Instance until you have applied it on TEST]<\/font><\/p>\n

During working on 12.0.6 running on Linux environment I received a complain from the user that:<\/font><\/p>\n

\u201cTheir XML reports (.rtf) are taking too much time in running and ending in Warning status\u201d.<\/font><\/p>\n

Following is the message I saw in all the XML requests\u2019 log files:<\/font><\/p>\n

\u201cBeginning post-processing of request 334042 on node ****** at 09-JUL-2009 13:
\n11:26. Post-processing of request 334042 failed at 09-JUL-2009 13:47:26 with
\nthe error message: The Output Post-processor is running but has not picked up
\nthis request. No further attempts will be made to post-process this request,
\nand the request will be marked with Warning status. Setting the profile option
\nConcurrent: OPP Response Timeout to a higher value may be necessary \u201c<\/font><\/strong><\/p>\n

And following is the message I found in the OPP Manager Log Files:<\/font><\/p>\n

\u201c\u20267\/8\/09 6:27:40 PM] [EXCEPTION] [OPPAQMON:33664] ORA-01089: immediate shutdown in progress – no operations are permitted

\ntions are permitted \u2026\u201c<\/font><\/strong><\/p>\n

Following are the two Steps I did perform:<\/font><\/p>\n

Step 1:<\/font><\/h2>\n

I set the following profile options to the value 300000:<\/font><\/p>\n

1.<\/font>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Concurrent: OPP Response Timeout<\/font><\/p>\n

2.<\/font>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Concurrent: OPP Process Timeout<\/font><\/p>\n

By the way there is a metalink note 352518.1<\/strong>, which gives you the formula of setting the values for these profile options. I did as per the support I got.<\/font><\/p>\n

Step 2:<\/font><\/h2>\n

Shutdown the concurrent manager with the command:<\/font><\/p>\n

adcmctl.sh stop apps_username\/apps_pwd wait=Y<\/font><\/p>\n

Ensure that no FNDLIBR processes are running. For this confirmation use the following command:<\/font><\/p>\n

ps \u2013fu appl11i | grep FNDLIBR.<\/font><\/p>\n

[where \u201cappl11i\u201d<\/strong> is the owner of the oracle applications file system at OS level]<\/font><\/p>\n

You will get a single<\/strong> line message like as below if no FNDLIBR service is running:<\/font><\/p>\n

appl11i 18195 8173 0 13:48 pts\/3 00:00:00 grep FNDLIBR.<\/font><\/p>\n

Take the backup of the application tables \u201cFND_CONCURRENT_REQUEST\u201d and \u201cFND_CONCURRENT_QEUES\u201d<\/font><\/p>\n

Run the non-destructive script cmclean.sql.<\/strong><\/font><\/p>\n

Restart Concurrent manager with command:<\/font><\/p>\n

adcmctl.sh start apps_user\/apps_pwd<\/font><\/p>\n

Retest the Issue.<\/font><\/p>\n

[NOTE<\/strong>: If the issue resolves, make the following changes:<\/font><\/p>\n

Change1:<\/font><\/font><\/h3>\n

In the application context_file in the parameter s_concctrl_params change the value wait=N(i.e default) to wait=Y.<\/font>Run autoconfig.<\/font>Shutdown the whole application and observe that the shutdown script hangs on the point where it runs the script adcmctl.sh to stop the CCM services.<\/font>Restart the applications.<\/font><\/p>\n

Change2(conditional):<\/font><\/font><\/h3>\n

If the change1 doesn\u2019t takes affect then do this:<\/font>In the script adcmctl.sh script make this changing [CONTEXT_PARAMS=”diag=N wait=N” ] to [CONTEXT_PARAMS=”diag=N wait=Y”].<\/font>Run autoconfig.<\/font>Shutdown the whole application and observe that the shutdown script hangs on the point where it runs the script adcmctl.sh to stop the CCM services.<\/font>Restart the applications.<\/font>]<\/font><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
