How to find hostname on Linux\/OEL ?
\n<\/strong>Use command “hostname<\/strong>” to find host name of Linux<\/p>\n

How to change hostname on Linux\/OEL ?<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Open file \/etc\/sysconfig\/network<\/strong>\u00a0 using editor like vi<\/strong> , nano<\/strong> or ed<\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. Change entry HOSTNAME=XXXXXX<\/strong> to
    \nHOSTNAME=New_Host_Name<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. Restart xinetd service or reboot Linux\/OEL
    \nRestart xinetd<\/u><\/strong> service xinetd restart<\/font>
    \nReboot Linux<\/u><\/strong> reboot<\/font><\/li>\n
