To those who are new to Oracle Applications , using AutoConfig<\/strong> you can reconfigure your Oracle E-Business Suite configuration from values mentioned in $CONTEXT_FILE\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0. adautocfg.sh<\/strong> : is a wrapper around autoconfig script<\/strong>($AD_TOP\/bin\/adconfig.sh) . a) For application Tier<\/strong> this file is located in $ADMIN_SCRIPTS_HOME (in R12) or $COMMON_TOP\/admin\/scripts\/$CONTEXT_NAME (in 11i)
\nb) For Database Tier<\/strong>this file file is in $ORACLE_HOME\/ appsutil\/ scripts $CONTEXT_NAME (both 11i & R12)<\/p>\n

This file invokes $AD_TOP\/bin\/adconfig.sh<\/strong> on Application Tier and $ORACLE_HOME\/ appsutil\/bin\/adconfig.sh<\/strong> on Database Tier.<\/p>\n

adconfig.sh<\/strong> : is script (which in turn calls adconfig.pl<\/strong>)\u00a0to run Autoconfig tool which reconfigures application or database tier using context file (XML file) .\u00a0\u00a0adconfig.sh is located in $AD_TOP\/bin (For 11i & R12 Application Tier) and $ORACLE_HOME\/appsutil\/bin (For 11i & R12 Database Tier)<\/p>\n
