OAM Identity System Installation Key Points<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

1.<\/strong> OAM Identity Server is first component to install (others are WebPass<\/strong>, Policy Manager<\/strong>, Access Server<\/strong> and WebGate<\/strong>)

\n2.<\/strong> You would need directory\/LDAP<\/strong> server for Identity Server to\u00a0store Policy\/Configuration<\/strong> and User data<\/strong>\u00a0.\u00a0 I am\u00a0using Microsoft Active Directory Server 2003 as LDAP\/Directory store in this example. 3.<\/strong> Communication protocol between Identity Server<\/strong> with AD<\/strong> (Active Directory)\u00a0could be LDAP<\/strong>, LDAPS <\/strong>or ADSI<\/strong> (Active Directory Services Interface)

\n4.<\/strong> Transport Mode between Identity Server<\/strong> and Directory\/LDAP<\/strong> could be
\na) Open<\/strong> – unsecured
\nb) Simple<\/strong> –\u00a0Encrypted but using dummy certificates issues by Oracle
\nc)\u00a0Cert Mode<\/strong>\u00a0–\u00a0Encrypted using certificates issues by Proper Certifying Authority

1.<\/strong> Start Identity Server installer using executable\u00a0depending\u00a0on your\u00a0Operating System
\n2.<\/strong> Enter Installation Directory for OAM’s Identity Server software
\n3.<\/strong> Enter Transport Security Mode (communication between Identity Server<\/strong> and Directory Server<\/strong>)\u00a0– Open, Simple<\/strong> or Cert<\/strong>
\n4. <\/strong>Enter Identity Server ID and Port Number (These details will be used during WebPass installation<\/font>)
\n5.<\/strong> Select your Directory Server Type (AD, OID, OVD, iPlanet ..)
\n6.<\/strong> Enter details of Directory Server<\/p>\n
