\u00a0I recently configured Kerberos (Single Sign-On) in WebLogic using steps mentioned \u00a0here<\/a>, While accessing application using Active Directory account received error “Error 401 – Forbidden<\/strong>” . This post covers steps I did to troubleshoot this issue.<\/p>\n

Moving back to my issue here is what I did to troubleshoot<\/p>\n

Debug<\/strong>: Enabled debug for authentication & authorization via WebLogic Console — Servers -> [Server Name] -> Debug -> WebLogic -> Security -> atn<\/strong> (for Authentication) and atz <\/strong>(for Authorization) and click Enable<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Error<\/strong> : Checked in Managed Server (one on which application was deployed)\u00a0Log file and found error<\/p>\n

Checks<\/strong> :<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0Verified that\u00a0KRB5.ini\u00a0is under c:\\windows (WebLogic\u00a0is running on Windows Server)
\n2.\u00a0Kerberos Configuration File (KRB5LOGIN.conf) defined at WebLogic Server Startup is available
\n3. Keytab file defined under KRB5LOGIN.conf is correct<\/p>\n

.<\/p>\n

Issue<\/strong>: Principal in kerberos configuration file was \u201d where as it was expecting character in format ”\u00a0 (C<\/font>heck double quotes format<\/font>)<\/p>\n

Fix<\/strong> :\u00a0
\nChange principal in KRB5LOGIN.conf from<\/p>\n
