Identity Store for Fusion Applications is OID.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Policy Store<\/strong> : is repository of application roles. By default this is <strong>xml<\/strong> file in $DOMAIN_HOME\/config\/fmwconfig\/<strong>system-jazn.xml<\/strong> More on Policy Store <a href=\"http:\/\/docs.oracle.com\/cd\/E21764_01\/core.1111\/e10043\/stores.htm#CJACCDIC\">here<\/a><br \/>\n(&#8211;<font color=\"#ff0000\" class=\"Apple-style-span\">For application with lot of roles, it is recommended to migrate policy store from XML file to OID\/LDAP<\/font>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;<font color=\"#ff0000\" class=\"Apple-style-span\">If your domain directory for Admin Server and Managed Server are different then you must migrate policy store from XML file to OID\/LDAP server<\/font>)<\/p>\n<p>Steps mentioned in this post are from Oracle Documentation\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/docs.oracle.com\/cd\/E15586_01\/fusionapps.1111\/e21032\/prep_is_ps.htm#CIHJADAA\">here<\/a> , purpose of this post is to explain these steps including what happens when you run <strong>idmConfigTool<\/strong> with different options.<\/p>\n<p><u><strong>Assumptions in this Post<\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n<p>a) Hostname of OID, OAM, OIM server &#8211;<strong> innowave12.com<\/strong><br \/>\nb) OID LDAP Port &#8211; <strong>3060<\/strong><br \/>\nc) Domain Name (Realm) of OID &#8211; <strong>dc=com<\/strong><br \/>\nd) Policy Store in OID &#8211; <strong>cn=jpsroot<\/strong><br \/>\ne) \u00a0WebLogic Admin Server Port &#8211; <strong>7001<\/strong><br \/>\nf) \u00a0WebLogic Domain Admin User &#8211; <strong>weblogic<\/strong><br \/>\ng) Password of weblogic user &#8211; <strong>welcome1<\/strong><br \/>\nh) Login attribute for OAM\/OIM in OID &#8211; <strong>uid<\/strong><br \/>\ni) OID common name attribute &#8211; <strong>cn<\/strong><br \/>\nj) OAM Super User- <strong>oamAdmin<\/strong><br \/>\nk) OAM to OID integration user &#8211; <strong>oamLDAP<\/strong><br \/>\nl) OIM to OID integration user &#8211; <strong>oimAdmin<\/strong><br \/>\nm) Fusion Apps Super User &#8211; <strong>weblogic_fa<br \/>\n<\/strong>n) User container in OID &#8211;\u00a0<strong>cn=Users,dc=com<br \/>\n<\/strong>o) Group container in OID &#8211;\u00a0<strong>cn=Groups,dc=com<br \/>\n<\/strong>p) OID\/OAM\/OIM are configured in same WebLogic Domain with domainname as <strong>base_domain<\/strong> <strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Set Environment Variable<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>First step is to configure following environment variables<\/p>\n<p>a) export <strong>MW_HOME<\/strong>= (Directory created during WebLogic Installation mentioned <a href=\"https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/index.php\/2011\/11\/14\/fusion-applications-111151-part-i-install-identity-and-access-management-oidoamoim-11g\/\">here<\/a>)<br \/>\nb) export <strong>ORACLE_HOME<\/strong>= (Directory in which OIM\/OAM is installed)<br \/>\nc)\u00a0\u00a0export <strong>IDM_HOME<\/strong>= (Directory in which OID is installed)<br \/>\nd) export <strong>JAVA_HOME<\/strong>= (Directory in which Java is installed)<\/p>\n<p>Note:\u00a0<font color=\"#ff0000\" class=\"Apple-style-span\">You must run\u00a0<strong>idmConfigTool<\/strong>\u00a0from the same location each time to prevent the creation of duplicate <strong>idmDomainConfig.param<\/strong> files that contain only partial information<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#ff0000\" class=\"Apple-style-span\"><strong>idmConfigTool<\/strong> will create<strong> automation.log<\/strong> file, errors\/warning are <strong>NOT<\/strong> displayed on screen but recorded in automation.log <\/font><\/p>\n<p>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">[updated on 3rd Jan 2012]: Apply patch 12867723 to IAM ORACLE_HOME (OIM\/OAM) before running idmConfigTool that will fix idmConfigTool issues.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Configure Policy\/Identity Store<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1.
