{"id":2759,"date":"2011-11-05T17:57:48","date_gmt":"2011-11-05T21:57:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/index.php\/2011\/11\/05\/ofsaa-oracle-financial-services-analytical-application-installation-overview\/"},"modified":"2011-11-08T06:04:45","modified_gmt":"2011-11-08T10:04:45","slug":"ofsaa-oracle-financial-services-analytical-application-installation-overview","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/index.php\/2011\/11\/05\/ofsaa-oracle-financial-services-analytical-application-installation-overview\/","title":{"rendered":"OFSAA &#8211; Oracle Financial Services Analytical Application Installation Overview"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/ofsa_logo.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/ofsa_logo.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>O<\/strong>racle <strong>F<\/strong>inancial <strong>S<\/strong>ervices <strong>A<\/strong>nalytical <strong>A<\/strong>pplication (OFSAA) is business intelligence application that enables financial institutes to measure and meet risk-adjusted performance objectives.<\/p>\n<p>This post covers overview of OFSAA (v 7.2) installation<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>1.<\/strong> OFSAA Infrastructure consists of Database tier , Application tier, and Web Tier\u00a0 (all three tiers can be on same machine or on different machines)<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>2.<\/strong> Minimal recommended configuration for OFSAA is 2 CPU, 4GB RAM and 1.5 GB Hard Disk (for dev\/test environment)<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>3. <\/strong>OFSAA is certified on <strong>Sun\/Oracle Solaris<\/strong>, <strong>IBM AIX<\/strong>, <strong>RedHat\/Oracle Enterprise Linux<\/strong>, <strong>Microsoft Windows Server<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>4.<\/strong> Certified Application Servers are <strong>IBM WebSphere<\/strong>, <strong>Apache Tomcat<\/strong>, <strong>Oracle\/BEA WebLogic Server<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>5.<\/strong> Certified Database for OFSAA is Oracle Database<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>6.<\/strong> <strong>Hyperion Essbase<\/strong> is optional component. Hyperion Essbase is required only if you wish to use OLAP features of OFSAA.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>7.<\/strong> If OFSAA is deployed on Windows Server and you wish to integrate OFSAA with LDAP server (for user authentication) then <strong>OPEN LDAP 2.2.29+<\/strong> is required<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>8. <\/strong>OFSAA can be installed in<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>a) Single Tier Installation mode<\/strong> &#8211; All tiers i.e. database, application and web are installed on same machine.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>b) Multi Tier Installation mode<\/strong> &#8211; one or all of Database, Application and Web Tier are deployed\/configured on different machines. (install oracle database client on application tier)<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>9.<\/strong> Multiple Instances of Application or Web Tier can be installed for scalability and resilience . First application instance is called as <strong>Default Application Instance<\/strong>.
