{"id":2769,"date":"2011-11-19T19:15:28","date_gmt":"2011-11-19T23:15:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/index.php\/2011\/11\/19\/fusion-applications-111151-installation-part-ii-configure-oracle-internet-directory\/"},"modified":"2011-11-27T02:57:22","modified_gmt":"2011-11-27T06:57:22","slug":"fusion-applications-111151-installation-part-ii-configure-oracle-internet-directory","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/index.php\/2011\/11\/19\/fusion-applications-111151-installation-part-ii-configure-oracle-internet-directory\/","title":{"rendered":"Fusion Applications 11.1.1.5.1 Installation Part II &#8211; Configure Oracle Internet Directory"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In previous post <a href=\"https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/index.php\/2011\/11\/14\/fusion-applications-111151-part-i-install-identity-and-access-management-oidoamoim-11g\/\">here<\/a> I discussed Identity and Access Management installation for Fusion Applications and covered following steps<\/p>\n<p><strong>a)<\/strong> Install WebLogic Server 10.3.5 (This will create middleware Home)<br \/>\n<strong>b)<\/strong> Install OID 11.1.1.2 and apply patch 11.1.1.5 (This will create IDM Oracle Home)<br \/>\n<strong>c)<\/strong> Install OIM\/OAM 11.1.1.5 (This will create IAM Oracle Home)<br \/>\n<strong>d) <\/strong>Install SOA 11.1.1.5 (This will create SOA Oracle Home, SOA is used by OIM)<br \/>\n<strong>e)<\/strong> Install OHS 11.1.1.2 and apply patch 11.1.1.5 (This will create OHS Oracle Home)<br \/>\n<strong>f)<\/strong> Create Schema in IDM database using RCU<\/p>\n<p>Next step is to configure these components (OID, OIM, OAM, SOA, OHS) and then integrate<br \/>\ni) OID with OIM (<font color=\"#FF0000\">for user\/role synchronization between OIM and OID<\/font>)<br \/>\nii) OAM with OIM (<font color=\"#FF0000\">for password management and account lock\/unlock<\/font>)<br \/>\niii) OAM with OID (<font color=\"#FF0000\">user store for OAM<\/font>)<\/p>\n<p>This post covers configuration of Oracle Internet Directory 11g.<\/p>\n<p><strong>a) <\/strong>Start OID configuration by running <strong>config.sh <\/strong>from <strong>IDM Oracle_Home\/bin<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>b) <\/strong>Select option &#8220;<strong>Create New Domain<\/strong>&#8221; (<font color=\"#FF0000\">This step will create WebLogic domain which will later be extended to include OIM, OAM and SOA<\/font>)<\/p>\n<p><strong>c)<\/strong> Provide Instance Directory and Oracle Home, WebLogic Sever directory. (<font color=\"#FF0000\">Instance Directory can be anywhere i.e. inside or outside Middleware Home<\/font>).\u00a0 This step will create ORACLE_INSTANCE <font color=\"#FF0000\">OID startup\/shutdown, log and configuration files are under Instance Directory<\/font>.<\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#FF0000\">Note : OHS configuration will also create another instance directory.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><strong>d) <\/strong>From components list,\u00a0 select <strong>Oracle Internet Directory<\/strong> and <strong>Oracle Directory Services Manager <\/strong>(ODSM) (<font color=\"#FF0000\">Other components like OVD, OIF, DIP are optional and are NOT used by Fusion Applications<\/font>)<\/p>\n<p><strong>e)<\/strong> On database screen, select <strong>Use Existing Schema<\/strong> and provide details of database where schemas were created using <strong>RCU<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>f)<\/strong> Enter details of <strong>realm<\/strong> (also known as <strong>domain<\/strong>) and <strong>Administrator password <\/strong>(default user is <strong>cn=orcladmin<\/strong>). <font color=\"#FF0000\">Realm value by default is domain name of machine on which you are installing OID<\/font>. For ex. if machine names is <strong>machine1.onlineappsdba.com<\/strong> then installer will create default realm value as<strong> dc=onlineappsdba,dc=com <\/strong>(If required you can select different realm value).<\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#FF0000\">Note: Users and Groups in Fusion Applications are created and stored under relam like <strong>cn=Users, &lt;Realm&gt;<\/strong> and <strong>cn=Groups, &lt;Realm&gt;<\/strong> respectively.<\/font><\/p>\n<p>Note: <font color=\"#FF0000\">There are two <strong>orcladmin<\/strong> accounts in OID i.e. <strong>cn=orcladmin<\/strong> (Super User) and <strong>cn=orcladmin, cn=Users, &lt;Realm&gt;<\/strong> (Domain Administrator) with same password by default.
