Policy Store is repository for application roles with default store as XML file in Oracle Fusion Middleware. Policy &amp; Credential Store is also covered in my \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Oracle-Identity-Access-Manager-Administrators\/dp\/1849682682\">OIM\/OAM 11g Book (<font color=\"#ff0000\">now available at Amazon<\/font>)<\/a>\u00a0.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">If you try to start WebLogic Admin Server and if it fails with error like below<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">________<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&lt;Dec 15, 2011 4:24:19 AM CST&gt; &lt;Notice&gt; &lt;Log Management&gt; &lt;BEA-170019&gt; &lt;The server log file \/u02\/oracle\/111\/user_projects\/domains\/ basedomain\/servers\/ AdminServer\/logs\/ AdminServer.log is opened. All server side log events will be written to this file.&gt;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">oracle.security.jps.JpsRuntimeException<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"Apple-tab-span\">\t<\/span>at oracle.security.jps.internal.common. ldap.connection.pool. <strong>com.sun.jndi.ldap <\/strong>in error message which suggests that <strong>Java Policy Store<\/strong> configured for Fusion Middleware is not reachable.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong><u>Fix:<\/u><\/strong> Start <strong>OID server<\/strong> that is registered as <strong>policy store<\/strong> for Fusion Middleware (WebLogic Server).<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u00a0.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>How to find OID server details used by Fusion Middleware as Java Policy Store (JPS) ?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Open file $DOMAIN_HOME\/config\/fmwconfig\/<strong>jps-config.xml <\/strong>and search for OID. \u00a0If your Fusion Middleware JPS is migrated to OID then you will see entry like below<br \/>\n____<\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#ff0000\">&lt;serviceInstance provider=&#8221;policystore.provider&#8221;
