This post covers issue encountered during EBS logon using Oracle Access Manager (OAM) as Single Sign-On Engine from our EBS-OAM Integration Trainnig<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Issue:<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0 User trying to access EBS (integrated with OAM for SSO) is re-directed to login page (deployed on EBS AccessGate)\u00a0.\u00a0On typing\u00a0username password, user is redirected to EBS page\u00a0with message “Your Oracle E-Business Suite Account has not been linked with the Single Sign-On Account that you just entered. Please enter your Oracle E-Business Suite information.<\/strong><\/span>”<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"EBS<\/a><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

First understand how SSO user (user stored in OID)\u00a0is linked to EBS User (FND_USER).<\/p>\n

1.<\/strong> Oracle Access Manager (OAM) by default validates username\/password against weblogic’s embedded LDAP server. During EBS integration you\u00a0point OAM to OID for username password validation. To change OAM 11.1.1.3\u00a0identity store to\u00a0OID click here<\/a>\u00a0 and for OAM 11.1.1.5 to OID integration steps click here<\/a><\/p>\n

2.<\/strong> OID contains username\/password and also referred as SSO user or SSO Account.<\/p>\n

3.<\/strong> Users are synced between OID and EBS (FND_USER and optionally HR & TCA account) either\u00a0using DIP<\/a>\u00a0or OIM (EBS UM connector). More on Oracle EBS integration with OIM using EBS-UM\u00a0connector later<\/p>\n

4.<\/strong> User\u00a0in EBS\u00a0is linked\u00a0with OID using value in\u00a0column USER_GUID<\/strong> from table FND_USER<\/strong> in EBS with attribute ORCLGUID<\/strong> in OID.<\/p>\n

5.<\/strong> If for any user<\/p>\n

i) USER_NAME<\/strong> in FND_USER<\/strong> table matches with UID<\/strong> attribute in OID
\nand
\nii) USER_GUID<\/strong> is NULL<\/strong> in FND_USER for this user
\nand
\niii) EBS Profile Option Applications SSO User Auto Link\u00a0<\/strong>is set to enbaled<\/strong><\/p>\n

then EBS AccessGate will update\u00a0USER_GUID<\/strong> (in FND_USER table) from ORCLGUID<\/strong> value retrieved from OID. This process is called Auto Linking of EBS user with OID.<\/span><\/p>\n

Coming back to our\u00a0issue – \u00a0After OAM Logon user is redirected to EBS page\u00a0with message “Your Oracle E-Business Suite Account has not been linked with the Single Sign-On Account that you just entered. Please enter your Oracle E-Business Suite information<\/strong>” could occur in following cases:<\/span><\/p>\n

1.<\/strong> There is\u00a0no user in EBS with USER_GUID<\/strong> (in FND_USER table)\u00a0value same as ORCGUID<\/strong> in OID, and\u00a0\u00a0EBS Profile Option Applications SSO User Auto Link\u00a0<\/strong>is set to blank<\/strong> or disabled (<\/strong>auto link is disabled)<\/span><\/p>\n

2.<\/strong> EBS Profile Option Applications SSO User Auto Link\u00a0<\/strong>is set to enabled<\/strong> but there is no user in EBS with USER_NAME (in FND_USER table)\u00a0value same as UID attribute in OID. This means user is not synced from OID to EBS<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

3.<\/strong> There is\u00a0user in EBS with USER_GUID<\/strong> (in FND_USER table)\u00a0value same as ORCGUID<\/strong> in OID but user is end dated<\/strong> in EBS (END_DATE<\/strong> in FND_USER table) – In this case you should see message “Error Occurred” after typing username\/password in EBSAccessGate logon page<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n
