I was trying to configure OIM server by running config.sh located at $IAM_HOME\/bin and it resulted in error shown in below screenshot.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/oim1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-4009\" src=\"https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/oim1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"523\" srcset=\"https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/oim1.jpg 650w, https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/oim1-300x241.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><\/a>The following exception is seen in install log at inventory location.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: oracle\/jdbc\/OracleConnection.setApplicationContext(Ljava\/lang\/String;Ljava\/lang\/String;Ljava\/lang\/String;)V<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000\"> at oracle.mds.internal.persistence.db.platform.OracleDB.setMultiTenantContext(OracleDB.java:1166)<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000\"> at oracle.mds.internal.persistence.db.BaseReposAccess.setTenantPredicate(BaseReposAccess.java:2824)<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000\"> at oracle.mds.internal.persistence.db.BaseReposAccess.&lt;init&gt;(BaseReposAccess.java:425)<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000\"> at oracle.mds.internal.persistence.db.shredded.ShreddedReposAccess.&lt;init&gt;(ShreddedReposAccess.java:294)<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000\"> &#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">java.lang.IllegalStateException: Action:OIM Configuration failed with error:interrupted<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000\"> at oracle.as.install.engine.modules.configuration.client.ConfigAction.fail(ConfigAction.java:227)<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000\"> at oracle.as.install.oim.config.OIMConfigManager.doExecute(OIMConfigManager.java:555)<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000\"> at oracle.as.install.engine.modules.configuration.client.ConfigAction.execute(ConfigAction.java:335)<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000\"> at oracle.as.install.engine.modules.configuration.action.TaskPerformer.run(TaskPerformer.java:87)<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000\"> at oracle.as.install.engine.modules.configuration.action.TaskPerformer.startConfigAction(TaskPerformer.java:106)<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000\"> at oracle.as.install.engine.modules.configuration.action.ActionRequest.perform(ActionRequest.java:16)<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000\"> at oracle.as.install.engine.modules.configuration.action.RequestQueue.perform(RequestQueue.java:63)<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000\"> at oracle.as.install.engine.modules.configuration.standard.StandardConfigActionManager.start(StandardConfigActionManager.java:158)<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000\"> at oracle.as.install.engine.modules.configuration.boot.ConfigurationExtension.kickstart(ConfigurationExtension.java:81)<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000\"> at oracle.as.install.engine.modules.configuration.ConfigurationModule.run(ConfigurationModule.java:83)<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000\"> at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:662)<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000\"> In Config Module Finish Event&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>I found out a metalink note talking about same exception and understood that Oracle IAM suite needs to be upgraded to 11.1.1.5.2 by applying patch 13399365. After applying the patch the OIM configuration went smooth.
