I Followed the procedure below to use Oracle Access Manager with Oracle BI Discoverer:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Assumptions :<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Oracle BI Discoverer is Installed and configured.<\/li>\n<li>Oracle Access Manager is Installed and configured.<\/li>\n<li>EBS Instance\u00a0 is configured with WNA (Zero Sign on)\u00a0using OAM\/OID 11g (Read Atul&#8217;s Book &#8220;EBS integration with OAM 11g R2&#8221;).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Steps to configure Discoverer 11g with OAM:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Register the OSSO agent (mod_osso) with OAM 11g.<\/li>\n<li>Open oamconsole and under System Configurations-&gt;Access Manager -&gt;SSO agents-&gt;OSSO Agent, create one osso agent.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/disco11.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-6542\" src=\"https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/disco11-300x70.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"70\" srcset=\"https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/disco11-300x70.jpg 300w, https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/disco11.jpg 627w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Following registration with OAM 11g, the mod_osso module:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Checks for an existing valid Oracle HTTP Server cookie<\/li>\n<li>Redirects to the OAM Server if needed to contact the directory during authentication<\/li>\n<li>Decrypts the encrypted user identity populated by the OSSO server<\/li>\n<li>Sets the headers with user attributes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Base URL \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/cph-core-db01-s:8888\">http:\/\/cph-core-db01-s:8888<\/a> . It will create Application domain, resource URLs, host identifier, Authentication Policies and authorization policies.<\/p>\n<p>Apply the changes<\/p>\n<p><strong>After it is created, it looks like below.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/disco21.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-6544\" src=\"https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/disco21-300x89.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"89\" srcset=\"https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/disco21-300x89.jpg 300w, https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/disco21.jpg 628w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>3. On Discoverer OHS server<\/p>\n<p><strong>Edit the mod_osso.conf<\/strong> file as follows:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Copy the mod_osso.conf file from the<br \/>\n$MW_HOME\/instance_name\/config\/OHS\/ohs1\/backup\/disabled directory to the<br \/>\n$MW_HOME\/instance_name\/config\/OHS\/ohs1\/moduleconf directory.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Create a folder named &#8216;osso&#8217; under the location $MW_HOME\/instance_name\/config\/OHS\/ohs1\/ and copy the osso.conf file generated after registration (Step 2) at $DOMAIN_HOME\/output\/osss_agent_name\/ (OAM Server)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Edit the mod_osso.conf file from the location $MW_HOME\/instance_name\/config\/OHS\/ohs1\/moduleconf and add the following lines:<\/li>\n<li>LoadModule osso_module &#8220;${ORACLE_HOME}\/ohs\/modules\/mod_osso.so&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><em>&lt;IfModule osso_module&gt;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0 OssoIpCheck off<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0 OssoIdleTimeout off<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0 OssoHttpOnly off<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0 OssoSecureCookies off<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0 OssoConfigFile MW_Home1\/asinst_1\/config\/OHS\/ohs1\/osso\/osso.conf<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0 &lt;Location \/discoverer\/plus&gt;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0 require valid-user<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0 AuthType Osso<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0 &lt;\/Location&gt;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0 &lt;Location \/discoverer\/viewer&gt;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0 require valid-user<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0 AuthType Osso<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0 &lt;\/Location&gt;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0 &lt;Location \/discoverer\/app&gt;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0 require valid-user<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0 AuthType Osso<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0 &lt;\/Location&gt;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&lt;\/IfModule&gt;<\/em><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Save the mod_osso.conf file.<\/li>\n<li>Restart Oracle HTTP Server by running the following opmnctl commands located at ORACLE_INSTANCE\\bin directory:<\/li>\n<li>opmnctl stopall<\/li>\n<li>opmnctl startall<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>\u00a0Post Steps :<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Ensure that the value of OssoConfigFile is set correctly in mod_osso.conf file. Ensure that the values of OssoIPCheck and OssoHTTPOnly parameters in the mod_osso.conf file are set to off.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Start Fusion Middleware Control, and navigate to the Discoverer Administration page. Select the &#8216;Allow authenticated Oracle Single Sign-On (SSO) users to create and use private connections to SSO-enabled Oracle Applications databases, without entering a password&#8217; check box. Verify attribute enableAppsSSOConnection=&#8221;true&#8221;<\/strong>in $DOMAIN_HOME\/config\/fmwconfig\/servers\/WLS_DISCO\/applications\/&lt;discoverer_version&gt;\/configuration\/configuration.xml\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Restart the Oracle Access Manager<\/strong> server that is hosting the OSSO Agent.<\/li>\n<li>Verify whether the Oracle BI Discoverer URLs can be accessed through the OAM authentication screen.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>To enable WNA for application domain disco_agent<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Policy Configuration -&gt;Application domains-&gt;disco_agent-&gt;authentication Policy-&gt;protected Resource Policy<\/p>\n<p>Change the Authentication Scheme to \u201cKerbrosScheme\u201d (one which is already being used by WNA enabled EBS Application domain)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/disco3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-6530\" src=\"https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/disco3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"377\" height=\"118\" srcset=\"https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/disco3.jpg 628w, https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/disco3-300x93.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 377px) 100vw, 377px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Save the changes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Add the TNS\u00a0details for EBS to be accessed<\/strong> using Discoverer, on Discoverer side.<\/p>\n<p>That EBS Instance must be SSO enabled and configured with Same OAM Instance.<\/p>\n<p>Now,Open the URL : <a href=\"http:\/\/cph-core-db01-s.dk.flsmidth.net:8888\/discoverer\/plus\">http:\/\/cph-core-db01-s:8888\/discoverer\/plus<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Since its WNA enabled, you will directly see below page for my user (there are three connections defined).<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/disco41.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-6534\" src=\"https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/disco41-300x120.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"120\" srcset=\"https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/disco41-300x120.jpg 300w, https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/disco41.jpg 628w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>To use SSO, we have to create private connections respectively for each user (Three defined for my user).<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to add a New Connection :<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. Access <a href=\"http:\/\/cph-core-db01-s.dk.flsmidth.net:8888\/discoverer\/plus\">http:\/\/cph-core-db01-s:8888\/discoverer\/plus<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>2. Click on create Connection Button.<\/p>\n<p>3. Fill the details\u00a0like its given in\u00a0below snapshot<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/disco8.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-6584\" src=\"https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/disco8-300x92.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"92\" srcset=\"https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/disco8-300x92.jpg 300w, https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/disco8.jpg 696w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>4. click continue and it will populate your username in user name field automatically<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/disco9.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-6585\" src=\"https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/disco9-300x53.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"53\" srcset=\"https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/disco9-300x53.jpg 300w, https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/disco9.jpg 696w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>5.\u00a0 Click Ccontinue, then select the responsibility from dropdown and click continue again.<\/p>\n<p>6. Select end user type from dropdown, click continue (your connection is now created ) and will connect for first time to Disco plus applet.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/disco102.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-6590\" src=\"https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/disco102-300x67.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"67\" srcset=\"https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/disco102-300x67.jpg 300w, https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/disco102.jpg 631w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Now this private connection will be visible\u00a0on Discover Plus home page for your user.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Points to note :<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><a href=\"http:\/\/cph-core-db01-s.dk.flsmidth.net:8888\/discoverer\/plus\">http:\/\/cph-core-db01-s:8888\/discoverer\/plus<\/a><\/span> \u00a0will be the single URL for users (we don\u2019t need users to use connection key)<\/p>\n<p>2. Since each user can have his\/her own private connections, like for my user HARSN-IN (you will have different private connections for your respective user)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/disco52.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-6536\" src=\"https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/disco52.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"398\" height=\"80\" srcset=\"https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/disco52.jpg 664w, https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/disco52-300x60.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 398px) 100vw, 398px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Private connections of one user, won\u2019t be visible to another user and vice \u2013versa.<\/p>\n<p>So given that each user has made his\/her private connection, when he \/she will access this \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/cph-core-db01-s.dk.flsmidth.net:8888\/discoverer\/plus\">http:\/\/cph-core-db01-s:8888\/discoverer\/plus<\/a> URL . the user will see the connections defined for his\/her user.<\/p>\n<p>3. \u00a0When they will click on the connection they want to access , Discoverer Plus Applet will open without asking for any credentials directly (SSO working).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/disco6.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-6537\" src=\"https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/disco6.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"378\" height=\"236\" srcset=\"https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/disco6.jpg connections themselves which they frequently use on Home page of discoverer Plus.<\/p>\n<p>5. \u00a0AFAIK , SSO works for defined private connections only not for the below part of home page (Connect directly) :<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/onlineappsdba.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/disco7.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-6538\"
