\nInstall Application Server\/Fusion Middleware<\/em><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n
\nI am focusing on these two type of Installation & not j2ee & webcache type (which is third middle tier Installation type) in this discussion.<\/span><\/p>\n
\nAs in apps you follow order (first start database & then middle tier services in 10g AS also you follow similar sequences)<\/em> Order of startup Services in 10g AS should be like <\/span>
\n—Start Database Listener<\/em>
\n— Start Database<\/em>
\n— Start Infrastructure Services<\/em>
\n— Start Middle Tier Services<\/em><\/p>\n
\n— Shutdown Middle Tier Services<\/em>
\n— Shutdown Infrastructure Services<\/em>
\n— Stop Database<\/em>
\n— Stop database listener<\/em><\/p>\n
\nYou can use iasconsole<\/em><\/strong> (Browser based console listening in default port 1156) to startup shutdown services
\nYou can also use opmnctl<\/em><\/strong> ; command line tool (Oracle Process Management & Notification) control to startup shutdown services<\/p>\n
\nStartup <\/strong>
\nStart listener as – lsnrctl start [listener_name]<\/strong><\/em>
\nStart Database as – sqlplus “\/as sysdba”; SQL> startup<\/strong><\/em>
\nStart Infrastructure Services as – opmnctl startall (<\/strong>Make sure your are in Infra Home<\/span>)<\/strong><\/em>
\nStart Middle Tier Services as – opmnctl startall (<\/strong>Make sure your are in Middle Tier Home<\/span>)<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
\nStop Middle Tier Services as – opmnctl stopall<\/strong> (Make sure your are in Middle Tier Home)<\/em>
\nStop Infrastructure Services as – opmnctl stopall<\/strong> (Make sure your are in Infra Home)<\/em>
\nStop Database as – sqlplus “\/as sysdba”; SQL> shutdown immediate<\/strong><\/em>
\nStop listener as – lsnrctl stop<\/strong> [listener_name]<\/em><\/p>\n
\nAs I mentioned above you can start\/stop services using iasconsole but before that you have to start \/ stop iasconsole itself which you can do by emctl (<\/strong>em – enterprise manager)<\/strong><\/p>\n
\nemctl stop iasconsole<\/strong><\/p>\n
\nopmnctl startproc application=ascontrol<\/strong>
\nopmnctl stopproc application=ascontrol<\/strong>
\nYou can access ias console screen from browser by url
\nhttp:\/\/host.domain:em_port\/emd<\/a> (Default em port is 1156<\/span>)
\nhttp:\/\/host.domain:1156\/emd<\/a> (This will prompt username password , use ias_admin<\/span>)
\nhttp:\/\/host.domain:http_port\/em (In iAS10g R3 and higher)<\/p>\n
\nStep mentioned above are to stop\/start all components in Middle Tier or Infrastructure Tier , what if I want to start\/stop\/restart<\/strong> only few components of a Tier ? You will use<\/p>\n
\nor
\nopmnctl [startproc stopproc restartproc] process-type=[process_name] <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
\nProcess Type like – WebCacheAdmin, OC4J_Portal, OC4J_Security<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
