If you want to see workflow details (owned by other users) or status diagram<\/strong> in Oracle Applications 11i\/R12 then you should belong to one of responsibilities\/user listed under WF_ADMIN_ROLE<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

By default (in 11i & R12) this role is set to user sysadmin<\/strong> (In old versions 11.5.8 or prior, it used to set to *<\/strong>)<\/p>\n

If you wish to change WF_ADMIN_ROLE<\/strong>, as per most of metalink notes either<\/p>\n

1.<\/strong> Change it via Workflow Administrator Web Applications <\/strong>responsibility (Login as sysadmin >> Workflow Administrator Web Applications >> Administration)<\/p>\n

or update table
\n2. <\/strong>SQL> update wf_resources set text=’&Enter_Admin_Name’ where name=’WF_ADMIN_ROLE’;<\/p>\n

to set it to everyone, use
\nSQL> update wf_resources set text=’*’ where name=’WF_ADMIN_ROLE’<\/strong>;<\/p>\n

Problem with above solution<\/u><\/strong>
\n– Execution of Autoconfig <\/strong>will override above settings. Autoconfig will pick value against parameter s_wf_admin_role<\/strong> (default value SYSADMIN<\/strong>) from context file $CONTEXT_FILE
\n<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Correct way to set Workflow Administrator Role<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

1. <\/strong>First identify Workflow Role<\/strong> Name<\/strong> associated with User or Responsibility.<\/p>\n

A. For setting Admin Role to specific user
\n<\/strong>SQL> select name from apps.wf_roles<\/strong> where DISPLAY_NAME like ‘&USER_NAME’\u00a0 and ORIG_SYSTEM=’FND_USR’;<\/p>\n

B. For setting it to a responsibility <\/strong>(so that all users with that responsibility can view other user’s\u00a0Workflow)
\nSQL> select name from apps.wf_roles<\/strong> where DISPLAY_NAME like ‘&Responsibility_Name’ and ORIG_SYSTEM=’FND_RESP’;<\/p>\n

SQL> select name from apps.wf_roles where DISPLAY_NAME like ‘System Administrator<\/strong>‘;\u00a0 <\/strong>(output for System Administrator<\/strong> responsibility should look like)FND_RESP|SYSADMIN|SYSTEM_ADMINISTRATOR|STANDARD<\/strong><\/p>\n

SQL> select name from apps.wf_roles where DISPLAY_NAME like ‘Application Developer<\/strong>‘; (output for Application Developer<\/strong> responsibility should look like)
\nFND_RESP|FND|APPLICATION_DEVELOPER|STANDARD<\/strong><\/p>\n

2.<\/strong> Update context file ($CONTEXT_FILE<\/strong>) variable s_wf_admin_role<\/strong> (If you don’t see this parameter in context file then apply latest Autoconfig Patch<\/font>) to value from above query<\/p>\n

For Sysadmin<\/strong> User – Set it to SYSADMIN<\/p>\n

For System Administrator<\/strong> Responsibility – Set it to
\nFND_RESP|SYSADMIN|SYSTEM_ADMINISTRATOR|STANDARD<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n

For\u00a0Application Developer<\/strong>\u00a0Responsibility – Set it to FND_RESP|FND|APPLICATION_DEVELOPER|STANDARD<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n

3.<\/strong> Run Autoconfig<\/strong> –
\n$OAD_TOP\/admin\/scripts\/$CONTEXT_NAME\/adautocfg.sh <\/strong>(11i)
\n$ADMIN_SCRIPTS_HOME\/adautocfg.sh <\/strong>(R12)<\/p>\n
