This is in continuation of my last post\u00a0on\u00a0Database Connectivity (JDBC) in\u00a0WebLogic Server here<\/a>\u00a0, In today’s post I am going to cover step by step JDBC configuration using Administration Console.<\/p>\n

1. <\/strong>Login to WebLogic Server Administration console (default port 7001)
\nhttp:\/\/hostname:port\/console<\/strong><\/p>\n

2.<\/strong> Select Data Sources<\/strong> under JDBC<\/strong> in Services<\/strong> section
\n.
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

.<\/p>\n

3. <\/strong>Click on New <\/strong>button\u00a0on right side as shown above<\/p>\n

4.<\/strong> Enter JDBC <\/strong>Name, JNDI <\/strong>Name, Database <\/strong>& Driver <\/strong>type\u00a0as shown below<\/p>\n

5.<\/strong> In next screen, enter database connection pool details i.e.
\n— Database Name<\/strong>
\n— Host Name<\/strong> (on which database is running)
\n—\u00a0Port<\/strong>Number (on which database listener is listening)
\n— Database User Name<\/strong>
\n&
\n— Password<\/strong> (for database user)<\/p>\n

6.<\/strong> In next screen you test connection by clicking on “Test Configuration<\/strong>” as shown below<\/p>\n

7.<\/strong>Finally you select target servers (Administration and Managed Server in that domain) for that Datasource.<\/p>\n

8.<\/strong> On clicking Finish <\/strong>button, you should see datasource as listed below<\/p>\n

To create Multi Datasource<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Steps mentioned above are to create single Datasource. To create Multi Datasource<\/strong> first create two or more Datasource <\/strong>as mentioned above (I created JDBC1 & JDBC2)\u00a0\u00a0then select Multi Datasources<\/strong> from console as shown below

2. <\/strong>Click on New <\/strong>button above, In next screen\u00a0select Name of Multi Datasource<\/strong> and JNDI
\n<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

3.<\/strong> Select Algorithm Type<\/strong>for Multi Datasource i.e. Failover<\/strong> or Load Balancing <\/strong><\/p>\n

4.<\/strong> Select Datasource <\/strong>which you want to make part of Multi Datasource as shown below<\/p>\n

5.<\/strong> Finally click on Finish to see Multi Data Sources<\/p>\n
