When you have 2 years work ex. why you want do project & why not directly work ..
You can go for Job directly or part time job .

@ Samba,

Oracle DBA manages Oracle Databases where as Apps DBA manages both Oracle Databases and Oracle Applications (11i/R12- E-Business Suite).

For Apps DBA focus is more on managing application including patching (adpatch), cloning (adclone) etc.

Both are better but my personal opinion is to go with Oracle Apps DBA. Learn weblogic server too (if possible).
