Modern Data Warehouse

Introduction To Modern Data Warehouse

⚡ A data warehouse gathers data from many different sources within an organization. This data is then used as the source for analysis, reporting, and online analytical processing (OLAP). The focus of a data warehouse is to provide answers to complex queries, unlike a traditional relational database, which is focused on transactional performance.

⚡ Organizations collect data from a variety of data sources. It can be structured data like data in relational databases or it can be unstructured data like data available in CSV JSON and log files, data from NoSQL databases, or audio and video files.

⚡ A modern data warehouse typically consists of 4 layers: Injection, Storage, Transform and Enrich and Model & Serve
