How to uninstall Oracle Identity Federation 10g

This post talks about uninstalling Oracle Identity Federation 10g installed in a windows server. In my environment, I had just OIF alone (no Oracle Application Server, so no OID).

1. Goto the location %ORACLE_HOME%\opmn\bin and stop opmn processes using the command opmnctl stopall.

2.  Goto the location %ORACLE_HOME%\oui\bin and run the setup.exe file as shown below.

3. Welcome page will get displayed as shown below.

4. Click the button Deinstall Products.  Inventory screen will appear with all available Oracle Products installed as shown below.

5. Select the checkbox with Oracle Home as oif_idp which has to be uninstalled and click the button Remove.

6. A confirmation box will appear as shown below.

7. Click Yes.

8. A dialog window appears as shown below.

9. Since, our environment does not have OID component, there is no need to execute the deconfig.pl. For OIF alone environments, the command has to be executed as shown in below screenshot.

10.  Once the above command is executed without any errors, select the OK button shown in step 8.

11. The uninstaller would continue as shown below and exits after done.

Uninstall is complete!! Don’t forget to delete the ORACLE_HOME folder.
