Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g R1 PS4 (11.1.1.5) is available now
On Friday 6 May 2011, Oracle announced availability of Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g R1 PS4 i.e. 11.1.1.5 via Oracle My Support (earlier Metalink) note “1316076.1 Announcing Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g Release 1”
.
Here are some key points from this announcement
1. Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g R1 PS4 (11.1.1.5) is base release for use in Oracle Fusion Applications 1.0 (More on Fusion Applications 1.0 later)
2. There is no 11.1.1.5 for Oracle Portal, Forms/Reports and Discoverer. If you are using Portal/ Forms/ Reports/ Discoverer then do not upgrade weblogic to 10.3.5 or if these components are integrated with OID/OVD/OAM then do not upgrade OID/OVD to 11.1.1.5.0
3. Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g R1 patchset 4 (PS4) i.e. 11.1.1.5.0 is now available for WebLogic (10.3.5 as 11g R1), SOA Suite, Service Bus (OSB), WebCenter, Enterprise Content Management (ECM), OBIEE, Identity Management, Application Integration Architecture (AIA) and Oracle Service Bus (OSB)
4. Web Tier Utility (OHS & WebCache) and Identity Management (OID, OVD, and OIF) are patchset only i.e. they can only be applied on base release like 11.1.1.2 or 11.1.1.3 where as SOA, Web Center, OBIEE and WebLogic are available as both, patchset and full release i.e. They can either be installed directly on 11.1.1.5, with out any base software (11.1.1.2, 11.1.1.3, 11.1.1.4) or as patch on existing software (11.1.1.2, 11.1.1.3 or 11.1.1.4)
