Migrate to UK as Oracle Apps DBA

Today’s post is dedicated to Non-UK resident Oracle Apps DBA’s who wish to work in UK.

In order to start working as an Apps DBA in UK, you should have a valid working Visa (For non UK residents). This Visa can either be sponsored by your UK employer (Most employers don’t prefer to sponsor visas) or you (as an individual) can apply for Visa under HSMP (Highly Skilled Migration Program).

There are three steps if you wish to move to UK for working as an Oracle Apps DBA.
1. Getting Visa (My recommendation, Go for HSMP instead of someone sponsoring your Visa)
2. Entry clearance (For those not currently in UK)/ FLR (For those who are already working in UK under working Visa sponsored by company in UK)
3. Finding right job/project (We can help you on this) on permanent/contract basis.

HSMP takes around 4-6 weeks and EC/FLR (Entry Clearance/Further Leave to remain) takes another 4-6 weeks. You can apply for HSMP via agent or yourself (my advice DON’T apply via agent) For more information on HSMP see below. Once you get HSMP next step is to find Oracle Apps DBA Job in UK, which can be either permanent or on contract (My recommendation, go for contracting). Based on your experience you can get 30-65 K
