Online Oracle 11i to R12.1.1 Upgrade Training – On Weekends

We are glad to announce our next batch of online Oracle 11i to R12.1.1 Upgrade Training commencing on 15th January 2011

Why this training is necessary?

Upgrading to Release 12 should be primarily driven by the improvements to business processes that R12’s new capabilities offer. Coupled with this, R12 comes with the advanced and latest technology components of Oracle which gives much better performance and Customer experience.

The training starts with a Release 11.5.10.2 Prod Instance and upgrades that instance to Release 12.1. Basic concepts and downtime-reducing steps are covered in detail. Trainer will cover live demo of upgrading the instance along with which a step by step doc will be shared with each student to perform the upgrade. Minimizing downtime is a common theme throughout the R12 Upgrade class. The key to this class is learning how to do the technical upgrade cleanly and efficiently.

@ Suresh,

________
riwTDBup.sh exiting with status 3

RW-50011: Error: – Database ORACLE_HOME connection test has returned an error: 3
________

This means database did not start during installation.

To check why database start failed , check installation logs related to database and also alert log of 11g DB

For log location check http://onlineappsdba.com/index.php/2007/12/25/oracle-r1212i-log-file-patch-clone-startupshutdown/
