I had set up a new OIM 11g environment recently and there was OIM schema with prefix DEV_OIM already being used by different OIM instance. So in the new OIM instance I had created schema with prefix as EXPIMP so that schema name is EXPIMP_OIM and thus other OIM dependent schemas are EXPIMP_MDS, EXPIMP_SOAINFRA and EXPIMP_ORASDPM.
While configuring the OIM for creating a new weblogic domain there is a step to specify the OIM schema details as shown below (The below screenshot is not taken from my env instead from some other blog).
All the Schema Owner names were specified as existing DEV_OIM by mistake and so on and continued with weblogic domain creation. This went well and after logging into new instance OIM console I was surprised to see that all configurations are available in new setup without importing it. I logged into WebLogic console and verified all the data sources and they are all pointing to old one. Refer the below screenshot for all data sources related to OIM.
Here is the action plan I followed:
Modify all the above data sources to point to the prefix EXPIMP_OIM, EXPIMP_SOAINFRA, EXMPIMP_MDS, EXPIMP_ORASDPM etc.,
Bounced the weblogic admin server and OIM managed server and it is a clean and fresh instance now.
Hope this is helpful.
