↬ Ansible is a simple software tool for IT automation that provides simple but powerful automation for cross-platform multi-layer deployments. It is primarily intended for IT professionals, who use it for application deployment, updates on workstations and servers, cloud provisioning, configuration management, and nearly all system administration tasks.

↬ Ansible seamlessly connects workflow orchestration with configuration management and provisioning deployment. Ansible is built for the cloud. Modules within Ansible can be used to manage deployments across AWS, Azure, and other cloud service providers.

↬ Ansible runs on Unix systems, but it can be used to configure both Windows and Linux systems. Ansible scripts are called Playbooks which consist of various modules that can be used for different tasks. Ansible is written in YAML syntax, and it is a product of RedHat.
