Connection refused [10600]

In today’s post I am going to covers connection refused issues. I am talking about a small but it’s important.

Problem Description: This is the main production environment. The environment has MDM and Oracle Access Manager Products installed in different servers. OAM is using OID as user store. We have two MDM nodes and its cluster. Regarding global logout, we deploy logout.html page in MDM websevers and we are accessing the page by LBR hostname with port 80. We have not seen any issues during manual test but we faced connection refused issues during performance test(automated script).

Unable to understand the issue, after some workarounds I came to know that issue was in LBR and with port 80. It usually indicates a misconfigured router or firewall. If you are running any firewall, please either disable it or configure it to allow access on port.

Workarounds

1.    Please confirm whether LBR is properly configured or not.

2.    Confirm whether any new issue in router or firewall.

3.    telnet the LBR hostname with port from two nodes.

In our case, we are not able to telnet from one node with LBR host name and its port 80.

Please confirm whether LBR host entries is available in nodes or not, if not please add the try the same. After  that I have not seen any issues.
